1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system is equipped with Roborock S8 Dual Brush Robot Vacuum Cleaner laser LiDAR, similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also features an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mop. During my testing, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and get to work, and I noticed that it was much more accurate than previous models that seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms, and also make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. Snap the dock into position connect it to the power outlet and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It takes only a few minutes. Then, you can launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able to dig into the settings and modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes, which included creating specific areas to sweep and mop, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni was astonished during my tests, scoring excellent scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it's not able to switch between mopping and vacuuming in one go. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum according to your needs. This is fine for most households, but not for those with busy lives.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it on our hardwood flooring, which is an outstanding performance. It did a great job on tiles and carpets and removed the majority of dirt.

This robot mop and vacuum comes with a large docking station that offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with a wash tray built into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to wash and dry its mop pads while using them. It does not have a removable tray so dust, dirt and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It has improved intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the surface you are cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise to be the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor. However, flip it over, and you'll find an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper which pushes dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's mouth. It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of bumping into things such as its charging station, and isn't very good at climbing over carpets. It was capable of removing pet hair from floors that were bare however, and in our tests, it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of litter - a figure that is higher than any of the most powerful robots we've examined.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has a set of physical buttons on its base. These buttons allow you to select a cleaning mode or turn the robot off/on. You can also use these to set no-go zones as well as see real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or warn you if something is wrong.

However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting entangled with toys, power cables, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot did well during our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It was able to pick up everything from a single rice grain to several pet food pieces in only one swipe. It had some trouble with rugs but, in general, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that contain both types of flooring as well as a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can afford it, it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes completely free to perform other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to take on the most difficult spills or dirt. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known new brand is the most affordable we've tested and provides exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than other models on this list. However it's still able reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping feature was very effective in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and floors that are not covered. It also uses smart-pathing navigational software for greater maneuverability. It also allows you to assign it to a specific area, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones as well as scheduling. It also allows you to stop and resume cleaning which is ideal for homes that have pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent knots from pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying dock station can store up to 30 days of dirt before needing to be cleaned. It also comes with a set of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens for cleaner air.

This vacuum feels solid and well-built. It has a smartphone app which lets you alter its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app lets you see the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive notifications via push for any issues it encounters during its cleaning process. You can control it with your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ does a good job of removing bare floors and doing a fair job on low-pile and robot vacuum mops shaggy carpet however it lacks the same level of autonomy as our top picks. It's also expensive and the cost of recurring use can add up.
