Window Sash Repairs

Sashes for windows must be checked regularly for mold, mildew and damage. You can avoid the cost of repairs in the future by catching these issues in the early stages, before they become too much.

The sash is an internal frame that is able to move vertically up and down in windows that are open. This article will teach you how to make several simple repairs to sash.

Weather Stripping

Wooden window sashes can add an elegant appearance to your home. They are also durable and last for a long time when they are maintained properly. However, they can be damaged or degraded over time because of exposure to the elements and normal wear and tear. The first step in repair sash window damage is to fix weather stripping. It's found on both the sash as well as the frame. If it's loose or worn out, it can cause drafts and other problems.
