The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what is used in self-driving cars -- and can scan an area of up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mopping. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over one minute to clean its pad and begin work. I also noticed that it was much more accurate than the previous models, which seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges as well as make an "Zambani pattern" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. It takes just minutes to snap the dock into its place, plug it into, and pair with your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you're able to launch the app and begin with your first cleaning project. I was able to dive into the settings and modify my floor robot vacuum Mops plan in less than 15 minutes, incorporating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping and reworking my furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni impressed me in my tests. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and achieved near-perfect results in edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a powerful combination of vacuuming and mopping, check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line from the brand and features the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than traditional scrubbers. It also has YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing technology that lets it respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The two modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads as needed, which is fine for most homes but not an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the debris we threw at it on our hardwood floors which is an impressive performance. It was a success on carpets and tiles cleaning up 99% of dirt.

This robotic vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be washed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It has improved intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the surface you are cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner however it doesn't meet its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape with sweeping wheels and an elevated space for sensors. On the other hand, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as one side brush that moves dust from the edges to the main path of its'mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated, allowing you to set no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of hitting objects such as its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It was great at collecting pet hair off bare floors. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has physical buttons on its base. These buttons let you choose the cleaning mode, or turn the robot off/on. Additionally, you can use these to set no-go zones as well as view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will let you know what it's planning to do next (start cleaning) or warn you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model of high-tech vacuum can remove pet hair, kibble and other particles with impressive efficiency. It also moves effortlessly around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes, a self-emptying dock, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled using the Neato app where cleaning can be scheduled and overall maintenance needs monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for homes that have a carpet, hard floors and carpet, but it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck by toys, power cords or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble it performed well and was able to take everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one go. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs but in general this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms that have different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive however, if you are able to manage the price, this is a great option for those who want to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto-cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle tough spills and dirt and it comes with batteries that power the ElectroWall that lets you place boundaries where the robot isn't permitted to enter.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This makes it less efficient as other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with a low pile, and it uses smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be sent to a particular area and has a suite of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to suspend and restart cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes that have pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying bagless dock station can store up to 30 days worth of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of side brushes that are angled to dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

The iQ robot vacuum mop for pet hair is well-built and feels solid. It works with an app for smartphones that lets you change the vacuum's settings and robot vacuum mops schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app also lets you see the remaining battery life and also receive push notifications for any problems it encounters during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area with physical boundary lines.

The iQ can do a decent job of removing bare flooring and doing a good job on low-pile and shaggy carpet however it lacks the same degree of autonomy as our top selections. It's also costly, and its recurring costs can become expensive over time.
