Acosta is one of the most senior executive leaders at Avon. He joined the company in the year 2011 as Senior Vice President and President Latin America and was recently named Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer. Charles Herington, the Company’s Executive Chairman, will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining Avon prior to joining Avon, Avon Leadership Team he worked for several years working at Unilever. He has extensive experience in building consumer-focused companies in emerging markets. In addition to his role at Avon, he is an investor and board member of RoC Skincare in New York.

He is the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer at Avon. He also has overseen the development and implementation of a fresh approach to social selling that is digital.

Fernando Acosta began his career at Unilever as an apprentice in management. He has worked in Europe and the United Kingdom. Later, he held high-ranking positions within Unilever's Latin American operations.

He was the Category President for Latin America at Unilever from 1999 until 2004. His responsibilities included overseeing the most well-known brands of the company such as Dove. He was also involved with the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty that launched new products like Pro Age.

Following his time as senior vice president of Unilever's Middle Americas division, he became an international executive. From 2006 to 2008, he was the Brand President of Dove Global at Unilever. At the time, he was based in New York.

He was previously the Regional President for Latin America at Avon. His responsibilities included driving sales and establishing the brand's Latin American strategy. He also supported the development of innovative product lines like Pro Age.
